Transmission of Yellow Fever by the Mosquito. Hydrofluoric Inhalations in Phthisis

چکیده
his successful attempts in producing experimental yellow fever by means of the mosquito's sting, it is to be inferred that these insects are the habitual agents of its transmission. It cannot be denied, however, that other such agents may and probably do occasionally occur, but not being endowed with the same facilities for rapid and extensive operation, their influence becomes insignificant as compared with the action of the Cuban culex.

متن کاملNon-Vector Transmission of Dengue and Other Mosquito-Borne Flaviviruses¶
A number of mosquito-borne viruses in the family Flaviviridae, genus Flavivirus, cause significant illnesses in humans. These diseases include dengue, yellow fever, West Nile fever, Japanese encephalitis, St. Louis encephalitis and Murray Valley encephalitis. متن کاملYellow Fever Virus Infectivity for Bolivian Aedes aegypti Mosquitoes
The absence of urban yellow fever virus (YFV) in Bolivian cities has been attributed to the lack of competent urban mosquito vectors. Experiments with Aedes aegypti from Santa Cruz, Bolivia, demonstrated infection (100%), dissemination (20%), and transmission of a Bolivian YFV strain (CENETROP-322).
